An overview of the role:

Your daily responsibilities will cover the full breadth of the problem-solving process. You could be part of team analysing client issues and proposing solutions as a business analyst. Or supporting to select and draft the optimal proposal as business case consultant, or designing, building and implementing it through one of many delivery or more technical roles on offer. Your role is structured as such to give you the first-hand knowledge needed to decide where you would like to drive your career and deliver the most value.

You’ll potentially work on a huge variety of projects (some larger than others), so you could gain lots of experience in a short amount of time.

Collaboration and Innovation:

We really believe in creating a partnership with our customers. Using our Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE), you’ll get to know the customer’s needs and challenges, demo innovative solutions and quickly solve problems. It’ll help you discover unexpected answers together.

Why this role?

The public sector has various challenges, and, as such you could be asked to deliver in the following areas:

  • Support delivery of some of the largest digital and strategic transformation programmes across the Public Sector
    • This could be supporting operational departments increase their back-office effectiveness to drive enhanced customer experience
  • Support central government procurement through business case expertise
    • This could be assessing the operating model and commercial approach to cyber security programmes for large central government departments or disruptive pensions technology
  • Support the improvement of the public sector tech suite by analysing business requirements and user needs, drawing on input from specialist colleagues within your client organisation
  • Support strategic decision making by gathering and analysing data relating to the costs and benefits of delivering various cutting-edge services
  • Support Capgemini Invents outward facing knowledge sharing through the creation of thought leadership and
  • Support Capgemini Invents market offerings by writing propositions that reflect our position as a leading public sector management consultancy
  • Support yourself by developing your career and consulting skillset through a wide range of learning and development opportunities and resources

Why you?

  • Do you have a passion for the public sector, or are keen to make a positive difference for society?
  • Do you have excellent communication skills – both written and oral, to individuals and groups across seniority levels of an organisation?
  • Do you have previous experience working in the environments described above: working with digital transformation, consulting or front-line or public sector services?
  • Can you think strategically to shape and solve problems using a fact-based approach that drives out insight?
  • Can you apply relevant tools and techniques: such as strategic and/or detailed operating model design, customer journey mapping, process mapping, Lean techniques, business architecture, organisation design, organisation sizing, governance, role design or the development of business cases?
  • Can you build relationships, get on with people and work collaboratively with respect for those around you?
  • Are you biased towards action and pragmatism?
  • Are you a self-starter?

Whilst you will have London, Manchester or Glasgow as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

 

We offer a remuneration package which includes flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances and a variable element dependent grade and on company and personal performance.
