Programme Delivery Manager

Job Title: Project Delivery Manager 
Location(s):  Hybrid, with regular travel to Portsmouth and other locations

Summary of Role: 
 
Raytheon UK is looking for a dynamic, driven and business focused Programme Delivery Manager (PDM) to support the delivery of an existing and strategically important contract to deliver training support services to the Royal Navy across multiple sites within the UK.
 
Working closely with the Selborne Programme Manager, the PDM will drive excellence in delivery execution performance and position RUK as a proven and trusted deliverer of training services across Selborne and the wider defence training sector.
The PDM will identify, prioritise and enable opportunities for continuous improvement and programme growth, and will develop close working relationships with our customers, internal and external stakeholders and supply chain delivery teams at all levels and across multiple sites.
In the role, the PDM will utilise Raytheon’s national and international capabilities in training technology, innovation, business transformation and continuous improvement to identify and introduce new opportunities for delivery improvement and sustainable business growth.  
  
Main Duties: 
 
Reporting into the Selborne Programme Manager, the Programme Delivery Manager will be responsible for the performance of the delivery teams and our supply chain partners in delivering and transforming training and training support services to the Royal Navy, while actively working with our customers to identify, develop and progress opportunities for business growth.
The role will draw heavily on prior delivery, business improvement and business development experience while fully utilising the latest technologies, transformational techniques and innovation available across the wider Raytheon businesses, nationally and internationally.
 
The main duties of the role are to:
•    Manage and successfully deliver all contractual requirements within agreed budgets and to performance standards. 
•    Ensure customer satisfaction through flawless programme delivery across all RUK’s contract deliverables both self-delivered and delivered by our supply chain. 
•    Develop strong and trusted working relationships with key stakeholders within the customer and partner communities. 
•    Using Raytheon’s proven processes and techniques, drive delivery and performance excellence, process optimisation, innovation and business transformation. 
•    Work closely with our customers and stakeholders to successfully identify, evaluate and incorporate new opportunities and to drive those opportunities through to contract growth. 
•    Through continuous horizon scanning and engagement with SMEs across both the customer community and industry, identify opportunities to introduce new and emerging technologies, techniques, products and services to our portfolio of capability offerings.
•    Lead the development of RUK’s responses to customer originated RFPs and Tasking Orders.
•    Identify and develop compelling investment opportunities for consideration and drive selected opportunities through to proposal submission and subsequent change execution.
•    Work with the Raytheon UK’s Training Transformation Services team to identify and implement opportunities to drive synergies and share knowledge across RUK’s Training Businesses.
•    Develop and strengthen RUK’s position within Team Fisher and our role as a trusted and respected Tier 1 partner within the Selborne programme. 
•    Undertake the duties and tasks of the Selborne Programme Manager as delegated in their absence.
  
Candidate Requirements: 
•    Track record of successfully executing large service delivery programmes with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, programme management and performance excellence.
•    Experience delivering in a multi-partner, multi-customer environment utilising own staff and subcontractors to successfully deliver against challenging performance and quality standards.
•    Developed people management and team leadership skills with an emphasis on individual and collective development.
•    Strong commercial, financial and performance management skills commensurate with delivery of large projects.
•    Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels and build trusted and mutually rewarding business relationships. 
•    Proven track record of identifying, assessing, and developing new business opportunities from initial concept, through business case development, proposal generation and into delivery.
•    Experience delivering and maintaining sustained growth within both existing and new, emerging capabilities. 
•    Track record of delivering business transformation through innovation, continuous improvement and the introduction of new technologies and methodologies.
•    Experienced in the use of industry standard project management tools, techniques and methodologies.
•    Current holder of, or eligibility to obtain, SC security clearance.
