Cloud Engineer (London/Gloucester)

We are seeking a dynamic Cloud Engineer to join our growing Professional Services team.

Professional Services provides market-leading solutions to help organizations across EMEA understand, protect and manage their data.  Our team delivers a diverse set of solutions from our broad portfolio of products.

 

What the role offers:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions based on organisational needs
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across cloud environments
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment
  • Ensure security best practices are followed (IAM, network security, encryption, etc.)
  • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to support agile delivery
  • Maintain documentation related to infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations for improvement

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Proficiency with container technologies like Docker and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, etc.)
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK stack, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • The successful candidate must hold and maintain a high level of Security Clearance.

  • Cross-platform flexibility: Can work across AWS, Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments

  • Clear communicator: Can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Documentation: Maintaining clear, useful documentation.
  • Customer-centric thinking: Understands how infrastructure and systems impacts end users.
  • Project management awareness: Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban workflows.

 

This is a hybrid role, and the successful candidate will be required to work from either Gloucester or London on a regular basis (3-4 days per week).
