Principal PS Sales Consultant
As a PS Sales Consultant in this space, you will be responsible to support and drive selling complex services offers to these customers. Your primary focus will be to:
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation initiatives.
- Solution Focus (strong focus on solution expertise on people-process-technology-data focused on customer outcomes) – Leading one or more solution areas (big transformation plays or specific pillars).
- Pipe Development (lead pipeline business development plan) - drives a solution business plan to ensure a healthy pipeline and correct application of strategic plays in the geography.
- Lead customers through deployment roadmaps for Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation platforms ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.
- Leads the deal team (Client Manager/SW Sales/xBU Sales) in developing differentiating propositions fulfilling client vision and assisting opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
- Support the implementation and delivery of Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation solutions, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and technical environments.
As a Principal PS Sales Consultant, you will work closely with the Account team, including the Account Executive, PS Client Manager and the technical pre-sales, as well as with the Professional Services Practice to develop strategy to digital transformation. Your role will put you at the heart of the client's needs and constraints (budgetary, legal, regulatory, etc.) and will make you one of the client's privileged contacts at OpenText. You will actively participate in the sale of innovative business solutions to meet the increasingly high expectations of our customers and reaching your targets.
What the Role Offers:
- Strategic Engagement: Collaborate with customers to shape their Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation vision and co-develop a roadmap for transformational engagement.
- Solution Expertise: Lead initiatives in Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation,
- Business Value Realization: Act as the primary interface between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating solutions into measurable business results.
- Transition Management: Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery teams while identifying opportunities for expansion and upselling.
- Implementation Delivery Support: When needed, work with the delivery team to support the deployment from design through execution, ensuring successful delivery and outcomes.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience:Previous experience in professional services sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting, preferably in a software or cloud environment.
- Experience working with public sector clients
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of modern application development practices (e.g., microservices, APIs, agile). Familiarity with DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing/security tooling.
- Project Execution: Proven track record of delivering Application Development, DevSecOps, and Cloud Transformation solutions, with expertise in deployment, integration, and operationalization.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts, effectively bridging business and technology teams.
- Leadership Skills: Capable of managing cross-functional teams, driving strategic discussions, and ensuring customer success.
- Cloud experience: Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Account Management: Proven capabilities in Account management and collaboration with sales team to develop pipeline both in reactive and proactive ways.
- The successful candidate must currently hold and be able to maintain a high-level Security Clearance.
