The Security Cleared EXPO is a one day event taking place on
Thursday 25th April 2024.

The event is open to attendees at 10am and closes at 15.30pm
(last entry is 3pm)

You will need to be registered to attend, please print or bring your e-ticket on your phone and show this at the EXPO registration desks on arrival along with photographic ID. If you are not registered and do not have photo ID then you will not be permitted entry.

Public Transport

The nearest major train station is Bristol Parkway, just 2.1 miles away

From there you can use our free mini bus service - please see the mini bus tab below for more details

Otherwise the nearest bus stops are Gipsy Patch Lane and High Leaze Road and both are approximately half a mile from the museum

If travelling from Bristol Parkway, please take either:

  • the Y6 Lynx bus towards Southmead and alight at High Leaze Road. 

  • the 19 or 19A First bus towards Cribbs Causeway and alight at High Leaze Road.

If travelling from Bristol City Centre, please take either:

  • the 75 First Bus service towards Cribbs Causeway and alight at Gipsy Patch Lane.

  • the T2 First Bus service towards Thornbury and alight at Gipsy Patch Lane. 

Minibus Service

There are three courtesy mini buses travelling between the Venue and Bristol Parkway train station on the day of the event. 

The service is FREE to use and they will run on a continual loop between 09:00 and 17:30.

The buses can be picked up from outside Bristol Parkway train station and at the Main Entrance Car Park of Bristol Aerospace for return journeys.

Parking

Parking at the venue is very limited.

If the venue car park is full, please go to Bristol Parkway train station car park, and from there you can use the EXPO (free) mini bus service to travel to and from the venue. Please see the mini bus tab for more information

We advise using public transport where possible 

Accessibility

Visitors with limited mobility and wheelchair users
Set over two buildings - a grade II listed WW1 hangar and the new purpose-built Concorde hangar - the museum site is fully accessible by those using wheelchairs, and there are fifteen disabled parking bays near the entrance to the museum.

There is level access to all areas of the site for assistance dogs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters including the entrance, galleries and café, and the Admissions desk has a section that is at wheelchair-user height.

Toilets
Toilets are available in both the Concorde hangar and the main exhibition hangar.

The museum also has easy access toilets, and disabled changing facilities registered with Changing Places. The museum has two wheelchairs available for visitor use (booking is advisable, please call the venue on 01179 315 315 and select option 1 or email info@aerospacebristol.org to book for free). 

First aid
There is a number of trained first aid staff on site.
